A Legacy Written in Time
Magna Carta is a fountain pen house shaped by a legacy that began in 1988. Our story starts in the western part of India, where the Kankhara family developed a deep respect for the craft of pen making and the written word. The name Magna Carta was chosen in tribute to one of Europe’s most enduring historical documents, a symbol of permanence, authorship, and the power of writing. It reflects our belief that writing is more than communication. It is expression, memory, and legacy.Over time, an understanding of individual pen components evolved into something far rarer. The ability to craft fountain pens entirely within our own workshop. From 14k gold True Flex nibs to ebonite feeds, materials, and PVD plating, every element is shaped and finished with care, patience, and intention. We work with materials that feel honest and alive, including copper, denim micarta, cellulose acetate, ebonite, and brass. Each Magna Carta pen is created for those who understand that writing is not just function but feeling. In a world of mass production, we choose to remain personal, deliberate, and enduring.
