Return, Refund and Exchange Policy

At Magna Carta, we stand behind the quality of our products and aim to make your shopping experience seamless and worry-free. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help.

Return Window

  • You may request a return within 30 days of your order date
  • Approved items must be shipped back promptly, especially if close to the 30-day limit

Refund Options

Once your return is approved and processed, you can choose:

  • Refund to Original Payment Method
    • Processed within up to 10 business days after return completion
  • Magna Carta Gift Card
    • Issued via email after return processing

Exchanges

  • We do not offer standard exchanges
  • If your item is defective or damaged, our Customer Care team may offer a replacement
  • Please contact us for evaluation

Return Shipping & Fees

Prepaid Return Labels

  • Provided only for defective or damaged items
  • For all other returns, customers are responsible for return shipping costs

Return Fees

  • No standard return fee
  • However, the following may apply:
    • Up to 10% deduction for:
      • Missing components
      • Product cleaning
      • Improper return condition
    • $15 cleaning fee if pens are returned inked or uncleaned

You will be notified if any deductions apply.

International Returns

  • Prepaid return labels are not provided for international orders
  • For defective items, we will reimburse return shipping costs up to your original shipping fee

Important:

  • Customs duties, VAT, and import taxes are non-refundable

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Bottom Shelf / clearance items
  • Gift cards
  • Ink samples
  • Used notebooks or inks
  • Fountain pens over $1000 that have been inked or used

Condition for Returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be in original packaging
  • All accessories must be included
  • Fountain pens must be:
    • Unused OR
    • Fully cleaned and free of ink

We do not accept returns for:

  • User-damaged items
  • Improper use or mishandling

Return Approval Policy

  • All returns must be approved before shipping
  • Returns sent without approval will be rejected and returned to the customer
  • Magna Carta reserves the right to deny any return at its discretion
